The Kensington Spiral Range

All wood spiral staircases

The Stylimon (with risers) is more than just a staircase. It is a stylish piece of sculptured furniture which will grace any surroundings. Designed and built by master craftsmen, the Stylimon offers a laminated wood centre pole, hardwood closed string, treads, handrail and risers. Standard balusters are shown, however, bespoke balusters which can be to the client's design pattern if required. A landing and balustrade from the centre pole form an integral part of the staircase. The staircase is disassembled for transportation to site.

The Stylimon is available in a range of diameters from 1200mm up to 2500mm and can be manufactured from a range of woods, including Beech and Oak. The Stylimon is also available with a sectional centre pole and open or half closed risers.
 

Stylish, elegant and light, the Ariane is suitable for use in primary, secondary or commercial applications and is available from 1500mm up to 2500mm diameter. Non standard sizes 1100mm up to 1400mm are also available as bespoke spirals to suit the client's specific requirements. Each stair is supplied complete with balusters, handrail, landing and balustrade from centre pole to edge of opening. Protective balustrade for around the opening is calculated and costed on a measure basis. The Ariane is also available in a wood-metal combination (below right).



The Kit-Carre is the ideal solution for that corner space. Not only does it offer ease of access, but has the added advantage of providing greater tread width as the treads fit flush to the walls and into the corners. Moreover, the Kit-Carre fits into a space equal to the diameter. It comes complete with a wall handrail, landing and balustrade from center pole to edge of opening. Climbing balustrade (where no wall exists) is also available on this model.



Metal/wood combination

The Limbury is part of Kensington's wood/metal combination stairs. This practical yet stylish staircase is competitively priced and permits the client maximum flexibility to finish the wood and metal in keeping with the surrounding décor. The stair comes complete with central column, treads, balusters and handrail. Items such as landing and protective balustrade for around the opening are optional extras.



The Empire Cast-Iron (below left) and Economy (below centre) spirals are most popular where space is at a premium and budget is restricted. Both of these staircases are available to full building specifications. Alternatively, smaller diameters of 1145mm (3'-9") and 1016mm (3'-4") are available as non-standard bespoke staircases. Prices range from £700 for ten steps. The Carmen Petite Oxford (below right) is a uniquely designed spiral ladder which requires a space of 1400mm x 800mm. It is ideal for loft conversions, especially where it is impractical to fit a conventional spiral or straight staircase
